AMENDMENTS TO THE JUDICIAL CODE
An administrative chamber is envisaged in the RA Court of Cassation, as a result of which the court will have three chambers instead of the previous two chambers: a criminal chamber with 8 judges, a civil chamber with 7 judges, and an administrative chamber with 5 judges.
The bill has been adopted by the National Assembly of the Republic of Armenia in the first reading.

AMENDMENTS TO THE LAW ON PROCUREMENT
It is envisaged to eliminate the procurement review body (Appeals Commission), as a result of which the subjects of that process can appeal the actions (inaction) and decisions of the customer, the evaluation commission before the courts.
The bill has been adopted by the National Assembly of the Republic of Armenia in the second reading.

ADDITIONS TO THE CIVIL PROCEDURE CODE
A new a new special proceeding is envisaged to be added to Code of Civil Procedure, called “Proceedings on Procurement Disputes”.

ADDITIONS TO THE LAW ON TRADE AND SERVICES
From now on, dairy products with milk fat substitutes in trade places must be provided with a separate section and have a special note "contains milk fat substitutes" in a legible and visible place.

AMENDMENTS IN INCOME TAX RATES WITH RESPECT TO THE APPLICABLE INTEREST
According to the RA draft law, it is envisaged to revise the income tax rate on interest received for loans and non-publicly placed debt securities, setting 21% starting from January 1, 2022, and 20% starting from January 1, 2023.
As a result of the adoption of the draft law, it is expected to prevent cases of aggressive tax planning in connection with the reduction of profit tax base and avoidance of income tax payment.
The draft law amendment was adopted by the decision of the RA Government on 23.12.2021.
